Sir Cliff Richard has revealed his desire to collaborate with One Direction in the future.

The boyband and the 73-year-old veteran may seem like an unlikely duo, but it appears the singer would be game for a duet if the group show longevity.

He told Good Morning Britain: "If they get through, if they’re still here in 10 years’ time and want to work, they’re good singers!"

Speaking meanwhile about his desire to crack the States, Richard said:

"It’s still feasible that at my age, I could find a niche in America. Not only am I still alive, I can still do it."
