Naughty Boy on Zayn Malik studio time: 'We've done something that might be a single'

'La La La' hitmaker Naughty Boy has teased that there may be a collaboration between him and One Direction waiting in the wings that the boyband could release as a new single in the future.

He has been in the studio recently with the group's very own Zayn Malik and has now revealed to reporters at Wireless Festival that the track they focused on sounds like a combination of both of their musical styles:

"I'm encouraging him to be a great songwriter and sing great songs. The rapping is a hobby. It's the same thing with him. We've done something with him that might be a One Direction single... It sounds like them and it sounds like me."

Naughty Boy added that One Direction are likely to produce their best material ever now because they're all really growing into themselves as individuals: "They're all becoming like their own unique person, so I think that's when you'll get the best songs."

Malik, meanwhile, made his return to Twitter yesterday after almost a month's absence and shared a cute self-portrait sketch along with a short message for his followers: "Sorry I haven't been on in a while thought I would do a drawing for you, what do you think? :-)"
