5 Seconds of Summer have confirmed plans to play a small concert for Jimmy Kimmel's TV show.

The Australians will hit Hollywood on July 24 to to play an outdoor mini-gig for the chat show man.

The band tweeted: "HII. were having a MASSIVE block party on july 24 on @jimmykimmellive :D its gonna be sick!!"

The event will take place two days after 5 Seconds of Summer release their self-titled debut album in the States.

The band are also due to play the Today Show on July 22 as the quartet continue their assault on North America.

The group meanwhile look set to announce Australia and New Zealand tour dates on Friday (July 18).
