5SOS: 'It would be hard to date someone who didn't like our music'

Australian heartthrobs 5 Seconds Of Summer have revealed that dating fans would be great because it would be nice to have that kind of support from a girlfriend.

During a new interview with MTV News, the 'She Looks So Perfect' superstars were asked if they would ever consider getting involved with someone who didn't like their music and they explained that it would be a difficult thing to do.

Michael Clifford said: "Only if they had a proper reason. I don't think anyone wants to date us anyway. Girls don't really like us." Luke Hemmings went onto add that it would be a shame to date a girl who didn't enjoy their songs: "Nah, like if they understand what we do, but if it's just not they're vibe… that might be okay. I'd be a bit upset, but I'd get over it."

The band's drummer, Ashton Irwin, confessed: "It would be a bit awkward to be with a girlfriend who didn't love what you do. If you're into death metal that's a good reason not to like our music."
