5 Seconds of Summer surprised fans on last night's (July 24) Jimmy Kimmel Live.

The Australians appeared on the US talk show to promote their debut self-titled album, which was released in the States earlier this week.

They took part in a game where fans were asked to head backstage to record a video message for the group.

However, fans were left shocked after one of the 5 Seconds of Summer lads appeared on screen to speak to them.

They later tricked fans into kissing old men on the screen before eventually the musicians met their devotees in person.
