Amelia Lily on new single 'California': 'I feel like I've found my identity and my voice'

Late last month, former 'X Factor' finalist Amelia Lily unveiled her highly anticipated new single 'California' and she has now revealed that it feels like she has found her voice.

During a new interview with Gazette Live, the blonde beauty explained that she wrote the track, which is due to be officially released in the UK on August 24, based on her own life experience and loves the fact that it represents her in every way:

"The song is honest and from a life experience. I feel like I have now found my identity and my voice, this is my own style now and I’m just incredible happy to get it out there and have people hear it.”

Lily recently told Bang Showbiz that she feels like a 'fresher' version of Katy Perry: "I've got musical idols - my top two would be P!nk and Katy Perry and I feel like I'm kind of a younger, fresher version of them. Their music inspires me to write my own. They're my top two."
