Foxes on learning Katy Perry is a fan: 'It's like being blessed by the Pope'

Foxes has spoken about discovering that Katy Perry is a fan of hers.

The rising Brit told MailOnline that she bumped into the US superstar at an awards ceremony.

However, she was taken by surprise when the 'Prism' icon revealed that she is a fan of her.

Foxes said: "I’ve done a lot of shows this summer where I’ve experienced some weird situations with celebrities. I remember when Katy Perry said she was a fan. It was like being blessed by the Pope."

"I was at the Elle Style Awards and felt this tap on my shoulder and there she was, like: 'Hi, I’m Katy and I love your work'. It was mad, but she’s a human being at the end of the day and very sweet. She’s also smart. She knows exactly what she’s doing. On the flip side, I had Jedward coming up to me recently asking for selfies. They were going crazy, so that’s two ends of a scale right there!"
