Nile Rodgers and Rudimental invite young fans to help remix Chic's 'Le Freak'

Nile Rodgers and Rudimental have teamed up with the Go Think Big project to give young people the chance to gain experience in the music industry.

The campaign is calling on people aged between 16 and 24 in the UK to apply for placements to help Rodgers and Rudimental remix Chic's 'Le Freak'.

People can apply for positions in roles that involve producing the remix, marketing and musicianship.

There will also be roles available in video production, tech work and live production.

When questioned meanwhile by a fan on Facebook why he was collaborating with 'house music DJs', guitarist Rodgers replied:

"1st of all Rudimental are a live band who can also DJ, which is an art form in the right hands: and the UK labour laws make it hard for young people to get jobs and internships. I work with people I like regardless of what their discipline. Thanks for the ask."
