Smokey Robinson thinks Justin Bieber is being influenced by the 'wrong things'

Smokey Robinson has offered his thoughts on the behaviour of Justin Bieber.

The Canadian has endured a troubled last couple of years, with the singer arrested in January on charges of DUI.

He was also previously caught on camera lashing out at a paparazzi member and Robinson, who knows the singer, told the Telegraph that he would like to have a sit-down chat with the 20-year-old.

The veteran singer added that he thinks Bieber is on the "wrong track" in life.

Robinson said: "He does have genuine musical talent, but I feel very bad for him 'cause he's on the wrong track. And I'd like to have a one-on-one conversation with him. I met him in the beginning and he was a nice kid.

"I just think he's running with the wrong people now, and being influenced by the wrong things."

Bieber meanwhile was arrested and charged with assault and dangerous driving late last month.

Police say that his ATV collided with a mini-van in Ontario, with Bieber then allegedly involved in a fight with the other car's driver.
