Sam Bailey has become a mother for the third time.

The singer gave birth to a girl this morning (September 10), with her rep saying in a statement:

"We are delighted to let you know that Sam Bailey gave birth to her third child, a beautiful baby girl, at 10.41am this morning (Wednesday). Both Mother and baby are doing well."

Bailey endured some criticism earlier in the year with regards to having a child with her husband Craig just months after winning the X Factor.

She said: "I’ve had some negativity about my pregnancy - but I’ll prove I can still have my career. I'm always going to be working, no matter what. I'm living proof you can do it."

Bailey meanwhile is due to perform a series of UK tour dates in January and February.
