Hilary Duff: 'I have more confidence as a woman, not just as a mother'

26-year-old songstress and former Disney actress Hilary Duff has revealed that being a mother has taught her so much that she struggles to remember who she was before she had her son, Luca, who is now 2.

During a new interview with TooFab, the beauty explained that she has such a different perspective now that she is a parent and the things she has learned benefit every area of her life:

"I feel like I don't even remember who I was before I had him. He's taught me about patience, which I didn't have before. Being in this business since I was 12, I constantly was busy and on the go. I think having him has helped center me and calm me down and make me realise that the little things are important."

Duff added: "I've gotten a lot more confidence as a woman as a whole, not just as a mother. In my work and in my everyday life - I think there's a confidence that comes with motherhood."
