Britney Spears extends Las Vegas residency for further two years

Britney Spears has confirmed that her Las Vegas residency has been extended.

The singer opened her Piece of Me run at the city's Planet Hollywood venue late last year.

The residency was expected to finish in 2015, but Spears said in an interview with Good Morning Britain today (September 25) that it has been extended.

The Piece of Me show could now run for a further two years until 2017.

Speaking of the extension, Spears said: "Yes, yes. I'm very excited."

She later added: "The way I used to travel all around the world and do a different show every night, I'm like, 'How did I do it?!'. Promotion is a different story, and going to a different city every day, like what I'm doing now, it's really hard. But being based in Vegas and having one show that you just keep going back to, the consistency of that is really grounding and really cool."
