FKA Twigs complains of online racist abuse

FKA Twigs has slammed online trolls for racially abusing her.

The British musician, who is reportedly dating actor Robert Pattinson, took to Twitter on Sunday (September 28) to speak out over the apparent abuse she has received.

She said: "I am genuinely shocked and disgusted at the amount of racism that has been infecting my account the past week.

"Racism is unacceptable in the real world and it's unacceptable online."

FKA Twigs meanwhile was installed as the early favourite for this year's Mercury Prize.

The musician's effort 'LP1' is nominated for the coveted award alongside the likes of Royal Blood's self-titled debut and Kate Tempest's 'Everybody Down'.

Its ceremony is taking place in London on October 29.
