Metallica drummer loves Oasis: 'They've been the soundtrack to my life for 20 years'

Lars Ulrich, the drummer for iconic band Metallica, has revealed that 'Don't Look Back In Anger' hitmakers Oasis have been a huge inspiration to him for the past 20 years of his life.

Speaking to Britain's The Guardian newspaper, he admitted that he has specific memories linked to particular tracks by the band and he is a huge fan of theirs:

"Oasis has been the soundtrack to my life for the last 20 years on this wonderful planet. I have stories and pictures in my mind that go along with everything, from the first time I heard particular songs and read certain articles, to hearing about the band's shenanigans and festivities."

Ulrich had previously revealed that he once read an interview with Noel Gallagher, in which the rocker explained how he woke up one day and decided to stop taking cocaine and it inspired him to follow suit.
