One Direction's 'Steal My Girl' songwriter spills on who inspired the track

Boyband One Direction have just debuted a new song called 'Steal My Girl' and the co-writer behind the track has revealed that each member had someone in mind who influenced the subject matter.

The song has a line about a girl being the guy's "queen since we were 16" and it has left Directioners wondering who the lads might be referring to. Now, co-writer Julian Bunetta has spoken to MTV News about the inspiration behind it:

“There are a few meanings behind it… there is the one that speaks to the bigger picture of them and their fans, and there is the one that speaks to the actual person in your life, and that was very intentional. It’s based on everybody’s experience: you have six guys in a room that have all been in love before and we all have jealousy — some are better at hiding it than others, but we don’t like when people hit on our girlfriends.”

'Steal My Girl' will be included on One Direction's upcoming new album 'FOUR' and there's also going to be a special 'Big Payno & Afterhrs Pool Party' remix by the group's very own Liam Payne that was recently teased by the boys
