Ed Sheeran wants to write for Britney Spears

Ed Sheeran has revealed his desire to pen songs for Britney Spears.

The singer-songwriter has contributed tracks previously to the likes of One Direction and it seems the US star is in his sights.

Speaking at the #AmazonFrontRow event in London on Tuesday (September 30), the 'x' man however revealed that he isn't a fan of her recent single 'Work B*tch'.

Sheeran said: "Yeah. I mean she's had consistent hits for a while, but I wouldn't write 'Work B*tch'. I'd go and do something a bit more like 'Everytime'. I'm a Britney fan! I've actually got the 'Greatest Hits' - I cook to it."

The Brit added that he also has more collaborations with Taylor Swift in his arsenal - but it doesn't know what to do with them:

"I just don't know where to put them. I've never really had collaborations on my albums unless it's a specific project, so I'm not sure."

The pair teamed up for the song 'Everything Has Changed' for Swift's 2012 album 'Red'.
