5SOS's music teacher: 'Michael Clifford told me, 'watch out, I'll be famous one day''

Mr. Adam Day, who used to teach the 5 Seconds Of Summer lads music while they were at school, has revealed that the band's guitarist Michael Clifford once announced to him that he would be famous in the future.

During a new interview with the Sydney Morning Herald, Mr. Day confessed that heartthrob Clifford told him that his one true passion was playing music and that he would do everything he could to turn that dream into a lucrative career, which he did:

"Michael always said to me, 'I'm going to be a superstar one day'. That was his dream from year 9 on. I remember him coming off-stage from a performance night one evening and he said, 'Yeah, that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to be famous one day. Watch out.'"

Mr. Day went onto add that as early as year 7 was when he noticed the boys' flair for performing: "I started teaching them music in year 7, and they excelled in all the practical activities of music but were very quiet and shy and reserved - they were very much closet musos. I wrote on their reports back then that it would be good to seek performance opportunities to develop their confidence. They've certainly done that - more than any other student I've ever said that to!"
