Gerard Way on 5SOS: 'They're incredibly talented and have lots of heart'

Former My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way has given his opinion on 5 Seconds Of Summer and admitted that he was impressed with their obvious talent and passion for music when he checked out their songs.

Writing on his official Twitter page earlier today (October 3), the rocker explained that people shouldn't judge bands by their popularity or accessibility, and he thinks 5SOS are doing a great thing with the music they release:

"I've been getting a lot of mentions about 5SOS and what I think of them so I finally check them out. I think they are incredibly talented, great playing, singing. Driving sound, lots of heart. I'm not surprised at the amount of love they get."

The 'I'm Not Okay' hitmaker, who just released his debut solo album 'Hesitant Alien', added: "You may have a different opinion, or want me to have one, but music isn't about choosing sides, it's about celebrating the sounds you love. I think sometimes we need to remind ourselves of that. In other words, keep your bad vibes out of my cornflakes. I'm not interested."
