Mel B on 'X Factor' judging: 'I'm a bad ass'

Spice Girls star Mel B has revealed that being a judge on 'The X Factor' is great, but it's also a very hard thing to do because being up-front and honest to contestants is tough.

Speaking about her new role on the vocal talent show, the singer explained that she has to be ruthless because she doesn't want people to waste their time if music really isn't their calling:

"I can be a hard-ass, a bad-ass, and I can be very emotional and very connected. I don't say, 'I'm going to put this out today.' It's just what is needed for that particular person. For example. I was so angry with [contestant] Jack [Walton] that I stopped him and said, 'What are you doing? Just give me you, what you were giving me before - that's why you're here."

She also recently told Britain's The Mirror newspaper that she's watching her behaviour because she doesn't want to get on music mogul Simon Cowell's nerves: "This is Simon's show, he created it. You don't want to p*ss your boss off."
