Former 'X Factor' contestant Katie Waissel on Cheryl Cole: 'She is disgusting'

Former 'X Factor' finalist Katie Waissel has taken another pop at judge Cheryl Cole, branding her 'disgusting' for making rude and offensive comments about her.

Speaking to New magazine recently, the singer explained that she still can't believe the 'Promise This' superstar treated her in such a 'nasty' way and remarked that Cole should be grateful that music mogul Simon Cowell hired her back for the show's current panel in the UK:

"She's the only one who's been disgusting to be honest – to make such comments, you're like, 'Wait, who are you?' It's annoying – it's not even TV, it's just nasty. Simon Cowell has given her a second chance. She should make the most of it. It's a bit of a s**t show, to be honest."

Waissel went onto add that she deeply regrets even submitting herself to appear on 'The X Factor' and wishes she could go back and change that: "If I could turn back time and not fill out that form, I would give every penny in my bank account to do so."

Back in 2012, the Girls Aloud sensation recalled one of Waissel's live performances from the well-loved TV talent show in her book, 'Cheryl - My Story', and wrote: When I saw Katie perform... I had to admit that she was... quirky, intriguing and busting to succeed. In short, she had the character and drive it took to withstand the pressure of the show, and so I put her through, even though she messed up when she sang in front of Will (will.i.am)."

Upon reading Cole's comments, Waissel hit out at her on Twitter and posted the following message publicly: "@cherylcole thought you were better than this. Shame I trusted you. you live and you learn."
