Simon Cowell: 'No one will be the next One Direction'

Music mogul Simon Cowell believes that One Direction are a unique act that really made the most of their 'X Factor' experience and won't be rivalled or overshadowed.

Speaking to reporters at the Pride of Britain Awards recently, Cowell explained that no one will replace the 'Story Of My Life' lads because they're doing such a great thing and have really defined themselves in the industry in a way that won't be paralleled.

When asked if the 8-piece boyband can be the next One Direction, he replied firmly: "No one will be the next One Direction."

He was then quizzed on the decisions made by judges on the current season of 'The X Factor' and admitted that he feels as though some poor choices were made, but he hopes they can be made up for: "No, I dont actually (agree with the other judges' decisions). We are where we are - a few people got left behind, but that can always be remedied in another year."
