Gloria Estefan on Ariana Grande: 'She's too established to play me, but she's so talented'

Legendary songstress Gloria Estefan was a guest on talk show 'The View' this morning (October 15) and she addressed reports that suggest Ariana Grande might play her in a stage production of 'On Your Feet'

Speaking about the plans for the Broadway play, which would portray the story of her life and career, Estefan explained that Grande's far too established now as her own artist to effectively portray another music star on stage although she thinks the 'Problem' hitmaker is incredibly talented:

"I saw her on a cruise ship when she was 8 years old singing karaoke and I just had to go up to her mother and say, ‘what a beautiful voice she has’. When you have such a big career it’s hard to convince people you’re somebody else."

Earlier today, Grande took to her official Twitter page and thanked fans for cheering her up when she felt homesick: "Was down n homesick earlier but seeing u loves tn made me feel a lot better.... U are precious. thanks to NRJ radio for having me."
