Lorde has bagged five nominations for this year's New Zealand Music Awards.

The 17-year-old singer's 2013 debut record 'Pure Heroine' is up for the album of the year prize, whilst her song 'Team' is nominated in the single category.

The 'Royals' star is also up for the best female solo artist, best pop album and people's choice awards.

Sol3 Mio meanwhile are up for the same amount of awards, including the best group prize.

Other nominees include The Naked And Famous, Broods and Stan Walker.

The ceremony will be held at Auckland's Vector Arena on November 20.
