'Glee' actress Charice: 'My soul is male'

Former 'Glee' actress and singer Charice Pempengco, who played the role of Sunshine Corazon, came out as gay last year and she has now revealed that she feels as though her soul is male.

The star recently sat down for a very personal interview with Oprah Winfrey and in a new preview for the episode, which is due to air this coming Sunday (October 19), she explains:

"I knew when I was five. I was in grade school and I saw this girl and I felt different. I didn't know what it was but I just knew that time, like it felt special. And when I was 10 I was like, ‘Oh, that's it. I'm gay.' I found the word."

When asked if she wants to transition to be male, Charice added: "Not exactly transitioning to a male, but basically my soul is like male. But I'm not going to go through that stage where I'm going to change everything—not change my body. I would change, like this look: Cut my hair and wear boy clothes and everything, but that's all."
