Taylor Swift to perform new single 'Blank Space' at the 2014 American Music Awards

This year's American Music Awards is set to be a very special event as country-pop superstar Taylor Swift has now been added to the already impressive line-up of performers.

The ceremony is due to take place on Sunday, November 23 at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles and the AMAs confirmed today (November 3) that the songstress will treat fans to a live rendition of her new album's next single, 'Blank Space'.

Swift joins a bill that already includes the likes of One Direction, 5 Seconds of Summer, Iggy Azalea, Charli XCX, Mary J. Blige, Sam Smith, and 'Royals' hitmaker Lorde who will make her AMAs debut.

Earlier this morning, 'Shake It Off' beauty Swift announced details of her highly anticipated '1989' North American tour and has since revealed that 'Riptide' singer Vance Joy and Shawn Mendes will be her official support acts. Tweeting about the news, Joy wrote: "Stoked that @taylorswift13 invited the band and I on her North American tour next year. Going to play some big venues."
