Miranda Lambert opens up about her dedication to animals

'Mama's Broken Heart' beauty Miranda Lambert has revealed that she loves working with animals because they don't care about fame or celebrity and appreciate her for who she really is.

In a new interview with Rolling Stone Country magazine, the superstar explained that the unconditional love she gets from her pets and rescue animals is incredibly fulfilling: "They don't know who Miranda Lambert is or care. They just love me because I'm their mom."

She went onto reveal that her dedication to rescuing animals often sees her in strange positions: "I laid on the side of the road for 30 minutes one time trying to get this dog. People were stopping and saying, 'Are you okay?' I was like, 'Yeah, just go away. I've almost got him!' I picked him up and actually my keyboard player has him now. His name is Batman."

Lambert, meanwhile, is nominated for an impressive 7 prizes at the Country Music Awards, which will take place tomorrow (November 5), including Album of the Year, Entertainer of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, Music Video of the Year, Musical Event of the Year, Single of the Year, and Song of the Year.
