Cranberries singer arrested for 'assaulting flight attendant and police officer'

Cranberries singer Dolores O'Riordan has been arrested for alleged assault.

Irish police confirmed that the musician was detained after flying from New York to Shannon, County Clare, on Monday (November 10).

She reportedly attacked a flight attendant on the Aer Lingus journey.

The air hostess was taken to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick but was not seriously injured.

It has also been claimed that she assaulted a policeman whilst she was being arrested on the ground.

The flight landed at 5.30am GMT.

The singer is currently a judge on the Irish version of TV talent show The Voice.
