James Blunt: ''You're Beautiful' is about a stalker on drugs'

Singer James Blunt recently sat down for a new interview with Digital Spy and opened up on if he thinks people's perception of him might have changed from when he first started out in the music world.

The crooner joked about his hit single 'You're Beautiful' and explained that things can be taken in a variety of different ways, so he doesn't know how people see him:

"I think perception often gets confused. Lots of people think that 'You're Beautiful' is a romantic song, but I see it as a song about a guy who was on drugs stalking someone else's girlfriend in a public space in London and should have probably been arrested."

He went onto add that his sharp replies to Twitter users who message him with snarky or offensive comments appears to have deterred the public from targeting him: "It's very quiet now on that front. I think that's like most things, when you shine the light on people who are abusive they normally go quiet."
