Hollywood's Hugh Jackman congratulates 5SOS on their first headlining arena gig

Aussie pop-punkers 5 Seconds Of Summer played their very first headlining arena show yesterday (November 13) at the Ak-Chin Pavilion amphitheatre in Phoenix, Arizona and were congratulated by a very unlikely Hollywood actor.

'Les Misérables' star Hugh Jackman (pictured left), who also plays Wolverine in the 'X-Men' movies, took to his official Twitter page late last night before the lads hit the stage and congratulated them on their incredible success, writing: "Mates @5SOS have an awesome night! Congrats on your first headline arena show in Phoenix, AZ."

Following their blinding set, drummer Ashton Irwin told his followers that he can't believe the opportunities that have come his way since 5SOS hit the big time: "Can't explain how happy I am... Just a ratbag kid from Sydney playing in a band with his dudes in an amphitheater, I had a blast, thank you."

Before the concert took place, guitarist Michael Clifford confessed that he was so overwhelmed by the fact that his band were about to headline an arena that he was becoming emotional: "SO F**KIN' PUMPED FOR THE SHOW TOMORROW. First arena headline. I might cry."
