Mick Jagger 'deeply upset' that medical information was publicised in court case

A rep for Mick Jagger says the singer is "deeply upset" over private information being publicised during a recent court battle about insurance.

The Rolling Stones recently settled a case worth $12.7m (£7.9m) that involved concerts postponed after the death of Jagger's girlfriend L'Wren Scott in March.

It was revealed during the court case that the singer suffered from "acute traumatic stress disorder" following her death, which was ruled as suicide.

It was also stated that Jagger was told by doctors not to perform for 30 days.

The release of this and other information has angered Jagger, with a rep saying in statement:

"We are deeply upset that confidential medical and other private information about members of the band and their immediate family and loved ones has entered the public domain as a result of a US court filing initiated by insurers four weeks ago.

"This was done without the knowledge of the band or reference to their legal representatives. This has only been discovered and reported in the press in the last week, by which time we are pleased to say the insurers and the Rolling Stones had, in fact, settled the insurance claim. No further comment will be made about this matter."

The postponed concerts in question were due to take place in Australia and New Zealand.
