Meghan Trainor and Diana Ross will act as mentors on the US version of The Voice.

The duo will help out contestants on the show's seventh series alongside Colbie Caillat and Fall Out Boy's Patrick Stump.

The likes of Taylor Swift and Stevie Nicks have previously guested as mentors on the current series.

The coaches on the seventh series are Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani.

New guest mentor Trainor meanwhile shot to worldwide fame this year with the track 'All About That Bass'.

It topped charts worldwide, including a stint at No.1 in the UK.
