Ellie Goulding announces London charity show

Ellie Goulding will headline a London gig next month to raise money for a homelessness charity.

The singer has teamed up with Streets of London - who support the homeless - to play a show at the Shepherd's Bush Empire on December 16.

The concert is billed as Ellie Goulding + Friends and other acts will perform acoustically on the night.

Speaking about the concert, the 'Burn' star said on Instagram today (November 26):

"All proceeds to Streets of London - funding support for the homeless and helping raise awareness about the issue of homelessness. Funding the life changing advice and support the homeless need to move away from a life on the street.

"I want to change the attitude towards homelessness especially in young people, and remove the stigma and stereotypes. I was appalled when 'anti-homeless spikes' appeared around London and it prompted me to act and find out what I could do.

"Eternal thanks to the amazing human rush is @fearnecotton4 and the incredible acts supporting this evening - they have given up their time to come down and play some songs acoustically to help. The generosity and support of the people involved has overwhelmed me and brings a tear to my eye."

Tickets for the special gig will go on sale from 9am UK time on Friday (November 28).
