Dave Grohl reveals failed Davie Bowie and Prince collaboration attempts

Dave Grohl unsuccessfully tried to collaborate with David Bowie and Prince.

The Foo Fighters man told US radio's Howard Stern that he attempted to team up with both Bowie and Prince on separate projects.

However, the former fell foul of busy schedules. Speaking about Bowie, Grohl said:

"We were, uh, maybe gonna do a thing together and it didn’t really pan out. I had an opportunity to do a song thing for this movie, and I thought...it would be really fun to get someone else to sing on it.

"[It was just] logistics. Sometimes you want to do something and there’s no time."

Referring to Prince, the US rocker added they jammed together on a cover of Led Zeppelin's 'Whole Lotta Love', but he never heard from the funk man again.
