Hozier has confirmed a series of UK tour dates.

The Irish musician will hit the road in May and June to visit cities such as Manchester, Glasgow and London.

The run will kick off at the O2 Academy in Newcastle on May 22.

There will be further shows at the likes of Leeds' O2 Academy before it concludes at the Roundhouse in London on June 1.

Tickets for the shows will go on pre-sale from December 10. The schedule is as follows:

• May 22 - Newcastle
, O2 Academy
• May 25 – Manchester, The Albert Hall
• May 27 – Glasgow, Barrowlands
• May 28 - Leeds
