Prides cover Ariana Grande, Sam Smith and Taylor Swift on stunning 2014 mixtape

Glasgow based synthpop trio Prides are celebrating the end of 2014 with a special mixtape that sees them play 6 instruments between them and run through 10 well-loved tracks by the likes of Sam Smith, Iggy Azalea, Taylor Swift and Ella Henderson

The group's members are keyboardist Stewart Brock, guitarist and keyboardist Callum Wiseman and drummer Lewis Gardiner.

Speaking about the ambitious project, the band explained that they wanted to put together a compilation of snippets from songs they have loved, performed and listened to over the past 12 months: "2014 has been a year where we spent a lot of time in a van listening to the radio."

"We decided to wrap up the year with one of our mixtapes of our favourite tracks, but this time we decided to play it live. These are the songs that we sang on the way back from shows, played incessantly whilst out on tour, and cranked when they came on the radio."

The tracklisting for their 2014 mixtape can be seen in full here:

  1. Ariana Grande ft The Weeknd - Love Me Harder
  2. Ryn Weaver – Octahate
  3. The 1975 – Settle Down
  4. Ella Henderson – Ghost

  6. Taylor Swift – Out of the Woods
  7. Nick Jonas – Jealous
  8. Iggy Azalea ft Charli XCX – Fancy
