Kanye West and Usher will be among the recipients at next year's BET Awards.

The event is taking place on January 24 in Washington and a host of big names will be honoured.

It has now been confirmed that West will pick up the Visionary Award at the ceremony.

Usher meanwhile will collect the Music Award in honour of his long career.

The Black Entertainment Television Awards will be aired in the US on February 23.

Last year's ceremony saw Beyoncé pick up three awards.
