Muse frontman Matt Bellamy has broken his silence after splitting from Kate Hudson.

The celebrity couple got engaged in 2011 and had child Bingham Hawn Bellamy later that year.

A rep for the duo, however confirmed earlier this week that they have been "separated for some time".

Bellamy took to Twitter on Wednesday (December 10) to confirm that all is well between the pair despite the break-up, saying:

"Love all of you guys! We're both very happy, it's for the best. Thanks for your kind words. Now about that new album..."

Muse are currently working on the follow-up to their 2012 record 'The 2nd Law'.

The rockers were recently confirmed as one of the headliners for June's Download Festival in England.
