Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars debut at No. 1 with 'Uptown Funk'

Mark Ronson has achieved his first ever UK chart-topping single with ‘Uptown Funk’.

Alongside Bruno Mars, Ronson’s track has racked up sales of 118,000 units in the form of 105,000 downloads and 1.35 million streams in the UK since it's release on Monday (December 8).

The runaway sales of ‘Uptown Funk’ now put Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars in the running to become the UK’s Christmas No. 1 single.

‘Uptown Funk’ has knocked Ed Sheeran’s ‘Thinking Out Loud’ from the top spot down to No. 2 this week.

The rest of this week’s top five is made up by ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas?’ up to No. 3 from No. 12, Take That’s ‘These Days’ down one to No. 4, and a new entry at No. 5 from Oliver Heldens with ‘Last All Night (Koala)’.

Further new entries to this week’s chart come from Bring Me The Horizon at No. 17 with ‘Drown’ and American girl group Fifth Harmony debut at No. 21 with ‘Bo$$’.
