Ben Haenow, winner of this year's 'The X Factor' in the UK, has revealed that he is hugely inspired by British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran and was lucky enough to meet him recently. 

Speaking to MTV News about Sheeran, the newcomer explained: "As a UK artist he's taken over the world really and I think he's an incredible bloke. For one guy to stand on stage and have 40,000 people eating out of the palm of his hand, I think is amazing."

Haenow confessed that when he got to meet the 'Thinking Out Loud' superstar, he gave him some good advice about retaining artistic integrity:

"He's definitely an inspiration to me musically and he just kind of said to focus and believe in yourself, and I think that's the best advice I could give anyone who wants to go into the music industry, and to get that from him was just brilliant."
