Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams have been confirmed to perform at the inaugural People Magazine Awards.

The ceremony is being held for the first time on December 18 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

The Voice US coaches Stefani and Williams will run through their new single 'Spark The Fire'.

They join a bill which already includes Maroon 5 and 5 Seconds of Summer.

Also due to attend the event are the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Aniston and Michael Keaton.

Some of the awards that will be given out on the night include Biggest Phenomenon of 2014, Funniest Person and Best People Magazine Cover of the Year.

The ceremony is being run in conjunction with Dick Clark Productions and it will air in the US on NBC.
