Kasabian and Royal Blood lead NME Awards nominations

Kasabian and Royal Blood are among the big names nominated for next year's NME Awards.

The former have landed a total of eight nods for the event, which will take place at the Brixton O2 Academy in London on February 18.

They are up for the likes of Best British Band, Best Album and Best Live Band.

Royal Blood are up for seven gongs - including Best New Band - whilst Jamie T also has seven nominations.

His song 'Zombie' is up for the likes of Best Track and Best Video.

Glastonbury meanwhile will fight off against T in the Park, Isle of Wight and Reading/Leeds for the Best Festival accolade.
