The Vamps and Sam Bailey talk Christmas and New Year's resolutions with Pressparty

With Christmas on the horizon, Pressparty have decided to catch up with some top music artists to find out their thoughts on the festive season.

We had a quick natter with Connor Ball, bassist for The Vamps, and last year's 'X Factor winner' Sam Bailey to talk about dream gifts, worst Christmas memories and potential New Year's resolutions for 2015.

We've already published brief festive interviews with the likes of U.S. girl group Fifth Harmony and British heartthrobs Kingsland Road, but check back on the site in the coming days for more end-of-year content including chats with Collabro, The Hoosiers' very own Irwin Sparkes and Prides.

What’s the one present you’re hoping to find under your Christmas tree this year?

The Vamps' Connor Ball: "I'm not actually sure this year, my parents said they will just surprise me! Although, I want to buy a chameleon. Even if it's not on Christmas Day..."

What is your worst Christmas memory?

Ball: "I haven't had any bad Christmasses - they've always been super chill at home."

Will you make any New Year’s resolutions this year and if so, what will they be?

Ball: "I need to call my parents more (for my resolution). I definitely don't do that enough."

What’s the one present you’re hoping to find under your Christmas tree this year?

Sam Bailey: "I don’t think it will fit under the tree, but I really want a bike."

What is your worst Christmas memory?

Bailey: "When I was 11, I got a violin on Christmas day and my Dad accidentally broke it - I was upset all day!"

Will you make any New Year’s resolutions this year and if so, what will they be?

Bailey: "My New Year's resolutions will be to lose weight, exercise and stop eating chocolate – although I don’t think I’ll be able to do the latter!"
