The Hoosiers' Irwin tells Pressparty about a disappointing Christmas moment: 'Santa is cruel'

Irwin Sparkes, of The Hoosiers fame, has spoken to Pressparty about his dream Christmas gift, his most unfortunate Christmas memory, and if he is planning on making any New Year's resolutions before 2015 rolls around.

The handsome frontman, who explained that his band are currently working on a new album, told us that he has one particularly disappointing Christmas where he got the toy he wanted, but it didn't come with the batteries it needed to work.

What’s the one present you’re hoping to find under your Christmas tree this year?

If I was shamelessly mercenary about self-promotion I'd say the fourth Hoosiers record that we've started recording. Thankfully I'm learning some self-control so I'll go with some sort of platinum plaque for all that charity work we do but seldom receive our rightful praise for ... with a side order of world peace or something.

What is your worst Christmas memory?

Getting the laser tag I'd always wanted... batteries not included. Has there ever been a tale of more woe? Yes there has: Al once received a packet of batteries... laser tag not included. Santa can be cruel at times.

Will you make any New Year’s resolutions this year and if so, what will they be?

I resolve not to make any New Year's resolutions - it's a resolution I adhere to every year and never fail to achieve.
