Mel B has broken her silence on rumours about her husband allegedly beating her.

Gossip about domestic violence at the hands of the singer's partner Stephen Belafonte emerged after the Brit missed an appearance on the X Factor in December.

The judge later returned for its final episode, but some speculated that she had bruising.

Belafonte denied that she had been violent to Mel B as rumours circulated that the couple were going to split.

However, the Spice Girl took to Instagram on Sunday (December 28) to post a picture of the couple.

She wrote: "This is for my fans havin problems with my Twitter will be back soon!

"I'm very good was very polly but much better now and for the record my hubby never would lay a hand on me sorry took so long but any response fuels rumors #lovemyfamily #lovemyfans (sic)."
