The Prodigy have confirmed plans to release a new single.

The UK dance act will unleash 'Nasty Nasty' in January.

The iconic ensemble announced the news on Instagram via a number of different pieces of artwork.

They posted what appears to be various cover art images for the single.

The Prodigy added: "Single 1, jan the ............. #theprodigy."

The group's last album meanwhile came in the shape of 2009's chart-topping 'Invaders Must Die'.

Their last single 'Take Me To The Hospital' landed in August that year.
