Kevin Jonas on Jonas Brothers: 'We chose to be a family, not a band'

Singer Kevin Jonas has opened up about the tensions that were felt in his family when he was in the Jonas Brothers and confessed that it has dispersed since the band ended.

During an interview with HuffPost Live, the star explained that he was never bothered by or particularly interested in the pursuit of fame and believes that he and his brothers have a better relationship now that they're not making music together:

"Yeah, no we are [still close]. I think that that's why we're close now, is because we're not in the band. By not being in the band together, that constant, like, butting of heads of working together and being family... We chose to be a family, not a band."

Kevin went onto add that he never expected to find so much fame with the Jonas Brothers, but they all feel very lucky for everything they accomplished:

"Obviously you hope for something like that but even what you hope for, I don't think equalled to what we were able to be blessed with. We were really lucky. Being a band that was able to tour around the world, travel, make music that we love - was our music - and then be received well I think was great. You know, being able to play shows and travel together was great, but then once at the end there, the friction was too much and we just really needed to break away and kind of do our own things for some time."
