James Bay comes second in BBC Sound of 2015 poll

James Bay is the BBC Sound of 2015 runner-up.

The broadcaster have this week been counting their top five tips for who they think will make it big in British music this year.

Today (January 8) the BBC confirmed that singer-songwriter Bay is No.2.

The musician was named late last year as the winner of the 2015 Brit Awards Critics' Choice prize.

Speaking to the BBC about being named on numerous 'next big thing' lists, Bay said:

"Do you know what I want to do when that stuff comes in? I just want to prove I'm worth it.

"It's a big old world, and there's probably people going 'well I think so-and-so should have won it'. So I want to show my worth."

Other acts who have featured in the Sound of 2015 list include George The Poet and Stormzy. The winner will be announced on Friday (January 9).
