Meghan Trainor: 'My mum used to do my make-up'
Songstress Meghan Trainor recently teamed up with cosmetics brand Clinique to create a beauty bag full of her favourite products and she has now revealed that her mother used to be responsible for her make-up looks.
Speaking to People magazine about her initial experiences with cosmetics products, the 'All About That Bass' rising star explained: "I didn't wear makeup for a long time because I didn't know what I was doing. My mum used to try to put make-up on me."
"I was in middle school, and she was like, 'Just put lipstick on!' And I was like, 'Ugh, I don't want to! It tastes bad!' She was like, 'Well, you don't eat it!' And I was like, 'OK it's on my mouth!' I didn't get it. But I figured it out - kind of."
Trainor went onto add that she's constantly picking up tips and her favourite piece of advice is to wear foundation and to take care of your eyebrows: "My dancers just taught me this. All you really need, if you're running out, or if you have friends coming over and you don't want to look like you tried, you need foundation to make your skin look like butter. And then the brows! The brows are everything. I had no idea. You fill [them] in!"
