Charli XCX has admitted that she was involved in a dangerous crash alongside Rita Ora whilst filming a video together.

The pair have teamed up for the track 'Doing It' and its promo clip is expected to land this week.

However, Charli XCX told the Metro that she "nearly killed" herself and Ora after crashing a vehicle in a desert.

She said: "I nearly killed both of us on the set by crashing this Barbie truck into the middle of the desert.

"There were no air bags. It was this old truck. It was a death trap! But we made it out alive and the video is so great and is dropping this week."

Speaking meanwhile about Rita Ora's role as Mia in the upcoming Fifth Shades of Grey film, Charli XCX added:

"She is going to kill it. On the ['Doing It'] set we had to do one bit of acting and I was freaking out, like, 'I don't know how to do this', but every time she was killing it. She is great and I think she's going to be wonderful."

The movie is due to be released in the UK on February 14.
