Fifth Harmony on 'Reflection' album vulnerability: 'We've been through heartbreaks'

The beauties of Fifth Harmony are gearing up to release their debut album 'Reflection' and sat down with Ryan Seacrest this morning (January 22) to talk about the record.

Speaking to KIIS-FM, members Ally, Camila, Normani, Lauren and Dinah explained that there's a vulnerability that can be heard in the lyrics and the highly anticipated offering represents girl power and feminine strength. Camila Cabello said:

"We’ve been working on this album for almost a year now. The album definitely has a contrast of us being vulnerable, which people haven’t seen that side. And also, the whole girl power thing, you know?”

When asked to describe the vulnerability, the girls all chimed in and confessed that their love lives influence their songs: "Just as human beings we go through heartbreak and... boys!"

"I also think, since we’re five different girls, we all like different genres of music. I feel like the album is kind of like this melting pot. There’s different songs in there that we can each connect to in a different way, which I feel is good. Because then people who listen to different genres can kind of connect to one [song] more than the other."
